  • After much campus involvement and analysis, Microsoft BPOS (Microsoft Business Productivity Online Suite) became the campus' solution for staff/faculty email and calendaring, after the Arizona Technology Oversight Committee (ATOC) approved the recommendation on April 29, 2010.  
  • A 3D Memo announcing the initiative and describing its main features was sent to the campus community on May 5, 2010
  • The Statement of Work and Work Order submitted by Microsoft is currently under review by Project Team leadership.

A New Name and a New Website!


UITS announced the new central faculty/staff email and calendaring service project on May 3. The new email and calendaring project now has a name. The service will be known as UAConnect!

Project Update/06.28.10

Subsequent to entering into an agreement with Microsoft to provide a centralized email/calendaring replacement for staff and faculty, the UAConnect project team was offered the opportunity to be an early adopter of the 2010 version of the hosted Exchange solution. Unfortunately there has been an unforeseen delay in the delivery of tools needed for a campus migration to the 2010 product.
